Are you ticking along in your business but not breaking new goals? Have you started to lose the passion you once had for driving your business and/or product? That’s normal. You can’t always be on a high in life and that’s all part of the journey! But you can plan for the days and weeks when you don’t have the time or the enthusiasm to tell searching customers why they should be with you! We have seen CEOs smile proudly and put a spring back into their step once they have showcased their business through a commercial video production.
Build a Picture for your Customer
I remember being asked by a previous boss to put together a log of my work from the previous six months. Initially, I felt like I was being asked to defend my job. More than that, I wasn’t sure that I would meet the mark! (I have since heard all about impostor syndrome, apparently we all have it! But I doubt knowing that would have been much help to me when I had just been asked to prove my work (and to me my worth) by my boss). When I got over my indignation, hurt pride and put aside my fear of being found out, I started listing everything that stood out for me in the last six months. I missed out on lots, checked over my hit and miss diary entries and hauled through my e-mail account for more leads.
What happened? I was building a clear picture of what I brought to the table and it wasn’t half bad. Knowledge is power and with it in tow I wanted to build an exhaustive list of activities and then ask for a raise! And not hide anymore. I didn’t take long to realise that I needed to included photos and videos. Too many descriptions and lists puts the onus on the reader to imagine what you do, but a visual in the form of a pic or video nails it instantly. This exercise really reminded me about the power of a an image and video. They aren’t extras anymore they are the best tools that we have to communicate, period.
Video is here to stay
You know it but you haven’t given it the time it deserves. I cannot tell you how integral video production is in gaining you new customers, so I won’t! I’ll let Alexa do it.
According to Amazon’s Alexa, Youtube is now the second most visited site after google, proving that video is fast becoming our go to tool for quick and easy information. Make sure your videos are compelling and keep your customer in mind. Forbes explain that businesses with video content online enjoy a 41% increase in traffic through website searches. So get in the game and stop being an onlooker!
Clients Hide their Best Bits
When we speak to clients about their business they ALWAYS underplay what they offer and they forget so much. Quite regularly we find out about their best feature quite incidentally ever after relentless questioning. That’s why I’d like to press upon you the importance of utilising commercial video production for your business. Sounds too simple? There are loads of videos up there, who is going to look at another one?
Wrong. In today’s search engine world no customer is going to contact you without searching for you online and clicking on your best of, they want to see if you are the right fit for them. Are you going to shut down this avenue for business? Or are you going to say, ‘Yeah, we think we’re pretty good, but don’t believe us, look at what we do!’ Put your best work into a commercial video. You want as many eyeballs on your business as possible.
Put the effort into creating a commercial video
This means that no matter when people search for you online they will only see you at your finest, don’t leave this to chance. Once you have given it your best, you can rely on it to be your biggest cheerleader and revenue finder online. Quality commercial video production means you can get on with doing your job. You can be confident that your image and reputation online is one that you have carefully created, managed and communicated. Putting the effort in and the time aside for commercial video production means that the video you show to online searchers has a positive effect on your business growth.
Types of Commercial Videos
There are various types of commercial video production styles to choose from. You may opt for an ‘explainer video’ if you want to impress upon a customer exactly what you or your product can do for them. Or better still, let your imagination go wild and create something that is fun to watch for your customer not just an overload of information. Here is a video we did recently with a client who was always ready to have a bit of fun. He knows who his client is and isn’t afraid to reach them!
At this point I think we should practise what we preach and stop ‘telling’ and start ‘showing’. Click here to see different commercial videos we have created with our clients. Just scroll to the bottom.
Commercial video production is ever expanding and if you are toying with an idea you haven’t seen done before we’d love to hear to get creative with you and try something new.
